Vans Demand-Supply Planning Summer Intern: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family
As the Demand Supply Planning Intern, you will collaborate with the Demand & Supply Planning teams to enable improvements in forecast accuracy, leading to improved service and inventory reductions. You will have the opportunity to develop segmentation of skus and the corresponding statistical forecasting models in logility to optimize forecasting efficiencies and improve accuracy. You will even create forecast dashboard/tools to support the scenario (capacity) planning with the supply planning team.
How You Will Make a Difference: 1. Evaluate historical sales/POS data for Retail (and WHS) vs. forecast 2. Segment skus based on variability vs. forecast error (ABC analysis) and assign forecasting models in logility.3. Create an excel tool to download forecasting results from Logility and develop process for development of high and low side plans to provide to supply planning for capacity scenario planning purposes. 4. Create interactive forecast accuracy tool/dashboards
Skills for Success:Educational/ Position Requirements:Years of Related Professional Experience: 0-1 year • One previous internship experience desired. • Currently enrolled full time or graduated within one year from an accredited education institution.• A strong participation level and/or interest in various action sports, street culture, music and/or art. • An independent thinker and ability to contribute in an independent environment. Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:• Travel by air and overnight, as required 10% amount of time.• Lifting and/or bending 10 pounds amount of weight.
