Manager, Digital Platform Operations: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family

As the Manager, Digital Platform Operations you are responsible for partnering on and supporting platform features and functionality on Vans.com. As an experienced problem solver, you are excited by the challenges presented by a complex digital ecosystem involving multiple internal and external partners and systems. Your efforts will help us to evolve our platform supporting cross-functional partners in Merchandising, Personalization, and Site Experience to drive elevated consumer experience.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Leads the facilitation of feature requirement gathering across eCommerce while collaborating with internal and external business partners to prioritize and deliver solutions that align with the consumer vision

  • Act as the product owner across front end and back end systems to ensure feature design is in alignment with requirements

  • Collaborate with the assigned business delivery team and product leaders to manage the feature backlog

  • Partner with the Digital Lab, Regional, and cross brand teams to understand the impact and benefit of pending digital functionality to assess whether the feature aligns with the Vans’ consumer vision

  • Work with the eCommerce team to understand system pain points and limitations and assist with defining and implementing solutions

  • Leverage industry best practices to help translate and drive compelling product requirements

  • Maintain ongoing communication of feature performance and future enhancements

Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 5-7 years

Educational/ Position Requirements:

· A Bachelor’s degree with experience as a product owner, product manager,

business analyst or similar discipline

· Knowledge of software development life cycle and project management

methodologies, especially Agile

· Desired experience using JIRA, Confluence, Slack or other online communication tools

· Experience working in eCommerce, software or related industries

· Passionate about problem solving and improving the consumer experience

· Proficiency understanding with digital tools such as Adobe Experience Manager, eCommerce Platforms, and Order Management Systems

· Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

· Ability to understand, assess, and problem solve by leveraging technical and

analytical skills

· Ability to collaborate well with engineers, designers, and other partners

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

· Travel by air and overnight, as required 15% amount of time or as needed

· Willing and able to work additional hours when needed
