Manager-Sales Core Market: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family

As the Manager of Sales Core Market, you will manage Regional core sales force and accounts. By building on retailer relationships/partnerships, you will further drive Vans core business and execute key sales strategies by product category. It is important for you to target business opportunities annually, along with using your position at Vans to make a difference and represent our company well. To work for Vans, you must have a great understanding of what our brand stands for and what we hope to accomplish. How You Will Make a Difference:

Achieve Regional sales revenue/forecast Execute key sales strategies within region by category Manage Regional core accounts and core account sales force Develop Regional quarterly sales execution plans to achieve quarterly and annual sales objectives Develop Regional annual marketing plans with wholesale marketing partners, (Marketing Development), to drive retail sell through within core account base Oversee Vans sell through, brand margin and turn performance, and customer business updates for region Pro-actively address issues and opportunities within account base. Perform other miscellaneous duties as needed Administer and account for customer claims, markdown, allowances, marketing, and RTV Partner with Core Customers to ensure brand visibility by product category

Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+ years

Educational/ Position Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and a minimum of 5 years general management experience in Sales and Account Management or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Experience working in the retail sales industry

  • This position is East Coast based

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Demonstrates understanding of retail math and logistics

  • Demonstrates ability to build business partnerships

  • Exhibits professionalism, honesty, integrity, courtesy and respect in all dealings with fellow

employees, guests, vendors or others with whom the company conducts business

  • Ability to communicate clearly

  • Follows through with all tasks, assignments and job duties in a timely manner

  • Demonstrates respect for the diversity of all individuals in the work place

  • Ability to lead, coach and develop staff to improve performance and achieve professional goals

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees and others with whom the company conducts business

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, procedures and other business practices, guidelines and documents

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

  • Travel required Approx. 50%-60% including air and overnight

  • In market Approx. 70% - 75% of time

  • Working from NYC Showroom during peak booking periods

  • Willing and able to work additional hours when needed

  • Bend, lift, open and move product and related office items varying in weight from 1 to 50lbs, depending on need
