Senior Director, Project Management: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family
The Senior Director, Project Management is responsible to drive, align and execute the supply chain systems strategies for multiple brands across US, Canada, and Mexico. The related brands include Vans, The North Face, Timberland, Smartwool, JanSport, Altra, Eagle Creek, and KGH Brands (Kodiak and Terra). The role has broad ranging oversight that includes teams working on B2B Systems, Reporting, Ecom & Omni Channel Projects, Procure to Pay Systems & Processes (such as demand / supply planning), Order to Cash Systems & Processes (such as order entry, pricing programs, etc.), Master Data Systems & Processes, and Brand Master Data creation & maintenance.
This role must work across the VF Matrixed Environment to drive strategy & alignment across key stakeholders, prioritize resources, and drive execution. Ultimately, this role serves as a key liaison between the technical and business communities. The position and team of direct and indirect reports are responsible to manage all steps in each project including: understanding the scope and requirements of the projects; ensuring that the specific technologies can meet the requirements; testing; training; cut-over activities; and post go-live support, all within the established budget. This role will interact with key stakeholders ranging from Vice Presidents in Supply Chain, CFO’s, Technology Group Leadership, and a variety of other stakeholders and levels in the organization.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Drive strategic planning and initiatives across the brands.
Responsible to drive and implement systems within Supply Chain to include SAP, Cognos, MDM E-Commerce Customer Service Systems; and B2B Systems. Lead the team and act as the key driver for specific projects, i.e., Acadia/SAP .
Ensure that all project steps are implemented from conception to post go live support. Serve as a first contact point for users in resolving any system issues or questions that may arise.
Lead process improvement teams for each functional area.
Direct and manage the work of multiple Project Managers at remote locations.
Establish and maintain positive connectivity with brand leaders from each brand, and the Wholesale and E-Commerce team that is supported by the VF Appleton location.
Responsible for the integration of the systems conversion and implementation for each newly acquired brand.
Responsible for direction of the department staff by recruiting, selecting, on-boarding and training. Work with each team member to ensure that personal growth development plans are in place. Develop succession plans. Foster a positive, diverse and exciting culture.
Support inclusion and diversity to ensure that the team represents each of VF’s goals.
Develop and manage the budget.
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 15+ years
Educational/ Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations or related field
15 plus years minimum relevant and progressive experience and 10 plus years successfully managing and leading a team of professionals or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Computer and Software Application experience in SAP; Cognos; MDM; B2B; PKMS; P2P
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
High level of presence and presentation skills
Excellent attention to detail
Critical eye for process development
Excellent understanding of e-Commerce systems and experience with SAP
Strong team player with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate
Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
- Travel by air and overnight, as required 25-50% of time.
