What will you do?

A day in the life of a Senior Print Designer for the Global Creative Direction team at The North Face is to concept and design print artwork that supports the seasonal creative direction for Men’s, Women’s and Youth product across apparel, accessories, equipment and footwear. This position will work closely with the Senior Print Manager to ensure that print execution fulfills seasonal product briefs, is production ready, in a brand right and contemporary way.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

Conceptualizing and Designing Art:

  • Develop repeat prints that align with seasonal creative direction.

  • Collaborate closely with the Print Manager and Print Design Team to ensure brand consistency and contemporary execution.

  • Document, story-tell and present creative print process.

Global Trend Awareness:

  • Stay at the forefront of design trends in print.

  • Create original prints that resonate with seasonal direction and commercial goals.

  • Leverage resources effectively to generate fresh ideas.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work with Global Merch, Product Management, Design, Concept, Graphics, Materials, and Color teams to build seasonal product flow palettes.

  • Lead print process with Materials, reviewing strike-offs and troubleshoot print execution across various materials.

Trend Reporting:

  • Produce trend reports and present findings to cross-functional teams.

Production:

  • Skilled in creating production viable repeats for sublimation, jacquard and yarn dye woven.

  • Create and track production mill sheets.

  • Strong color sensibility and ability to pitch color as needed.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5+ years of textile design experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • Skills:

  • Proficiency in Macintosh OS, Photoshop, Illustrator, Word, and Excel. A plus for experience with Aquario/Design Pro.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Flexibility, creativity, and adaptability.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environments.

  • Knowledge:

  • Understanding of outdoor, lifestyle, and streetwear trends.

  • Familiarity with the competitive landscape and sports represented by the brand.

  • Professional experience designing and specing surface, jacquard and yard dye textiles.

  • Portfolio:

  • A strong graphic print portfolio demonstrating contemporary and directional designs.

  • Location requirement: This position is based in Denver, CO.

Hiring Range :

$95,040.00 USD - $118,800.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
