The North Face is looking for an exceptional Visual Merchandiser to join our Sales and Marketing Department .

Let’s Talk about the Role

You as Visual Merchandiser will be responsible for managing the visual and merchandising presentations in The North Face Retail Stores and shop-in-shop concepts. This includes regularly scheduled store visits to work with and train staff around the UK.

How You Will Make a Difference

You will achieve this by:

  • Implementing Visual Merchandising strategy across UK O&O and PSS doors (windows, instore) supervising external suppliers during executions and installations

  • Ensuring the strategy is in line with the brand and HQ guidelines.

  • Supporting Visual Merchandising Manager and Sales Department with regards to Retail Store, and Shop-in-Shop projects and openings and enhancing in-store TNF brand awareness and product presence

  • Drive Visual Merchandising strategy forward, taking a hands-on role in managing window displays, store layouts, promotions and maximising the space and layout of the store.

  • Coordinating the planning, ordering, storing and delivering of POP material and fixtures, ensuring that the executions meet quality and timelines.

  • Coach and train VM ambassadors/store teams on TNF aesthetics and VM practices.

  • Ensuring brand presentation in the TNF showrooms

  • Giving feedback to head office and the other teams

  • Create consistent, UK relevant, and brand right in-store merchandise presentations through compelling product placement.

  • Support during special events/ad hoc projects also outside of the UK.

  • Monitoring costs and working within budget.

Skills for Success

You should be an energetic, friendly team player, with:

  • The ability to build relationships of trust with store staff to negotiate on space/windows in store

  • The capability to conduct staff training sessions, time management, planning & organisational skills (co-ordinating promotions etc.)

  • An expertise in retail & VM experience, either from field-based experience within a lifestyle apparel brand or from working in a VM role in a large store environment (preferably department store).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in MS office suite

  • Fluent in English, any other language is a plus.

  • Full UK driving license

  • A keen interest in the outdoor

A formal education and subsequent Visual Merchandising qualifications are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
