Business Practices Intern: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family
This is an exceptional opportunity for someone starting their career who is seeking high-level management exposure, global assignments and a steep learning curve. This is a developmental position for candidates with high management potential. The aspiration for each Business Practices Intern is that the successful performer will return into a Business Practices Analyst role, and then matriculate into other roles, often within one or two years. The Business Practices Intern will be focused on assisting the Internal Audit team in all respects with a primary focus on department reporting and analysis, while developing an understanding of the VF organization in management preparedness.
The Internal Audit support provided by the Business Practices team is categorized into five broad capabilities: Talent Management, Infrastructure Management, Quality Assurance, Reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley Oversight.
Our Talent Management support includes onboarding all new members of the audit department, supporting training and development initiatives and assisting in auditor placement.
Our Infrastructure Management support includes managing all policies, procedures, guides, and templates supporting the audit approach and methodology. We also provide system administration support for the audit work papers system.
Our Quality Assurance support includes designing, calculating and monitoring key performance indicators (KPI’s) for the Internal Audit department. We use the output from the KPI’s to measure progress towards established performance targets, which informs enhancements to Internal Audit processes.
Our Reporting support includes designing and delivering periodic communication materials for internal and external audit customers.
Our Sarbanes-Oxley Oversight support includes overseeing VF’s major reporting units with the assessment of VF’s internal control over financial reporting.

How You Will Make a Difference:
Primary responsibilities are Internal Audit operations with a focus on internal and external reporting to stakeholders
Developing working knowledge of department KPI metrics and tracking those on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Mastering Internal Audit and VF systems enabling the BP Intern to provide guidance to new auditors and assistance to the Internal Audit department while working on assignments
Delivery of high impact Sarbanes-Oxley compliance support to executive/senior finance management
Providing analysis and insight in the coordination of external audit fees
Manage ad-hoc projects as required by Internal Audit senior management and other VF senior managers
Spearhead continuous learning for Internal Audit associates in preparation for management roles

Educational/ Position Requirements:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Business or related field.
Intent to pursue CPA license.
Completed some Accounting & Auditing course work.
Strong project management and analytical skills applied in up-tempo setting
Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
Professional, flexible approach taken in handling multiple priorities
Ability to work well independently and in a team, with limited supervision
Strong leadership traits and resourcefulness
Ability to build relationships and offer compelling ideas/insights to a diverse population of VF associates, including executive/senior management
