JOB POSTING TITLE: Buying & Allocation Manager, icebreaker

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

This position will be the key role to:

  • Contribute to China product strategy to deliver optimal range and right assortment for omni-channels.

  • Work on seasonal forecast and deliver demand plan by channel inline with seasonal sales target.

  • Drive sales, margin and inventory turn in close partnership with cross-functional partners and through operational excellence.

  • Be responsible for accurate and timely allocation of stock to stores to support sales growth and customer experience.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

 Provide expertise into developing product strategy (short-term and long-term) aligned with global approach and consistency. Be excellent in the execution of regional product and buying strategy.

 Gather outdoor consumer insights and communicate to regional and global counterparts. Proactively share and influence global product team with the voice of NZA outdoor consumers.

 Analyze and evaluate opportunities by product category with local team and customers to identify areas of growth, research needs and margin enhancement.

 Work closely with global and local marketing team on key marketing initiatives.

 Lead actively the overall GTM process internally and externally from kick off meeting to sales meeting.

 Elevate the execution of omni-channel strategy, including but not limited to co-organization and execution of DTC & DTP GTM, DTC assortment planning and seasonal buying.

 Lead and define right assortment plan for icebreaker for different sales channels, in line with brands’ integrated marketplace management strategy.

 Define the range and pricing architecture, following market situation and analyzing competitors’ product range, to be competitive in the market and to achieve margin target.

 Be the voice of the region, work on SMU development with global counterparts according to local business needs.

 Deep dive into sales and purchase forecast by SKU, deliver seasonal demand plan by channel.

 Responsible for product presentation during sales meeting and key account meeting.

 Interact regularly with Marketing, Sales, Business Planning Operation, Supply Chain on products buys, line plan and delivery status, to lead on driving plan of action for late deliveries or delay or fast supply.

 Guarantee the accuracy of products master data and maintain seasonally in the system.

 Analyze weekly sales performance, track sell thru and propose timely and appropriate action. Actively manage SKU count, ensuring old/obsolete product is allocated/sold through as communicated. Provide solutions in a concise and accurate format regarding stock availability issues.

 Work closely with the planning team on supply topics, track delivery-on-time and inventory status.

 Take the lead in managing allocation calendar to recommend optimal receipt flow considering commercial needs as well as operational constraints.

 Ensure regular flow of volume to the DC and Retail Store & Ecommerce site, resolving technical issues in a timely manner.

 Competency requirements:

  • 6 years’ experience in Merchandising / Buying / planning / DTC Allocation.

  • Driving business: development product strategy and vision; lead change; drive operational excellence; deep functional acumen.

  • Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate and thrive in a fast paced, lean environment.

  • Collaborate internal partners: promote internal communications; drive actively internal partnerships.

  • Functional management skill: lead external partner to accomplish defined mission and target.

 Skills:

  • Communication and interpersonal skills; business acumen; driving for results; problem solving, agile & innovative thinking; building partnerships & stakeholder management.

  • Have deep knowledge on outdoor performance premium brand omni-channel merchandising eco-system and products.

  • Possess advanced Excel skills and technical efficiencies.
