Security Officer: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family

Under the direction of the Security Supervisor, this role will assist in the health, safety and security of all employees and visitors to Timberland’s corporate headquarters. This position is the center hub of security operations as well as employee access control including CCTV activity and alarm monitoring of the facility.

The primary responsibilities of the Security Officer position are to support all activities relating to the employee entrance control center desk. This includes welcoming visitors, monitoring CCTV and Access control systems, managing and directing phone calls, receiving services, collaborating with other building service members and providing general administrative support to the Workplace Environments office.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Control access to security areas through the facility via our KeyScan and CCTV system

  • Create and edit employee badges through the access control system

  • Enforce all property control policies, including inspections of items entering and exiting the facility

  • Assist the front lobby operations when needed, including greeting all visitors, booking conference space and managing facilities requests

  • Conduct security and safety tours of the facility as necessary to ensure employees, contractors and visitors follow security and parking policies

  • Respond to alarms coordinating with the in-house Emergency Response Team as well as local emergency services with regard to medical, safety or security incidents.

  • Monitor Cleaning Services Staff on shift.

  • Assist larger Facility Team with operational support as needed.

Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 2-3 years

Educational/ Position Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of related experience in the security field protecting persons and property as well as front lobby and security control center coverage

  • A high school diploma

  • Outstanding customer service skills

  • Telephone and 2-way radio etiquette

  • Some experience in electronic security equipment such as KeyScan and Milestone CCTV surveillance

  • Dependability and a neat appearance

  • Flexibility with shift schedules as overtime may be required.

Hiring Range :

$15.20 USD - $19.00 USD per hour

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
