Freight Audit/ Payment Coordinator: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family

The Sr. Specialist is responsible for the receipt, organization, audit and processing of all freight invoices from the carriers of all VF brands, resolving exception invoice inquiries, as well as supporting the management of FA/P for ad hoc reporting and projects. This position will also be responsible to act as a back-up for other team members of VF Freight Audit/Payment as required.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Ability to resolve invoice exceptions with carriers thru the understanding of the coding and processing of all invoice systems (WD, Kipling, Cass, GTNexus, SAP).

  • Run reports from the CassPort Business Analytics tool for Logistics team and Finance team requests.

  • Working closely with carriers to enhance their processing by formatting, providing correct data and submitting electronically.

  • Create upload files for both SAP Winshuttle and Cass for various carrier exceptions.

  • Assist in month-end Finance reporting with accruals, reclasses and ad hoc requests.

  • Work closely with carriers to resolve invoices on monthly outstanding statements.

  • Monitor the parcel accounts in Cass to be sure all are authorized and set up correctly.

Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 2+ years

Educational/ Position Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred.

  • Advanced computer skills with above average proficiency with spreadsheets.

  • Working knowledge of general ledger (GL) accounting codes.

  • Basic knowledge of transportation modes (ocean, air, truck, etc.) and logistics processes.

  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.

  • Strong communication (written and verbal).

  • Ability to build strategic work relationships and trust across departments.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changing requirements.

  • Commitment to help drive change and results.

  • Ability to work independently.

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to work in an office environment with office equipment such as computers and handle pressures of deadlines.

Hiring Range :

$24.00 USD - $30.00 USD per hour

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
